顯然，Canonical並不是以生自有硬件著稱，所以外界預計該公司屆時將發布其智能手機作業系統的平板電腦版本。採用Ubuntu作業系統的手機品有望在今年10月份問世，但如果它希望在擁擠的平板電腦市場佔有一席之地，那麼還需要針對平板進行優化，側重於觸控特性。

Canonical看上去已經完全意識到這一點，該公司上個月在接受採訪時明確表示，“我們計劃發布平板電腦版Ubuntu作業系統。”(清辰)
