Edward Snowden 又再次間接地爆料了！華盛頓郵報基於一份來自 Snowden 的文件來報導了一宗有關 NSA 的內幕消息，其指出 NSA 正在研究如何製造一部「對解密有用的量子電腦」。這個研究是 NSA「Penetrating Hard Targets」計劃中的一部份，理想中，這部電腦的運算能力是很強大，理論上可以快速地將幾乎所有類別的加密資訊解密，當中包括銀行、醫療、商業和政府紀錄；這些工作如果用普通電腦群來做的話，可能要用上幾年的時間。

傳聞NSA 正研究如何製造量子電腦，作解密之用 - 癮科技 中文版

另一點比較有趣的就是，當中部份的研究是在一些名為「Faraday」（法拉第）的大型密室內進行，其設計可以抵擋和隔離來自內外的電磁能量（攻擊？），以使到量子電腦的研究得以進行。想得知進一步資訊的話，請點引用來源。
